Overview: Section 16B.3 of S.L. 2017-57 provides a Class I felony for an assault or affray causing physical injury on hospital security personnel who are discharging or attempting to discharge their official duties.

This section becomes effective December 1, 2017, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
